NVraves Meta

About

NVraves opened up in November of 2005 as an alternative to the old Reno Raves board. Several attempts were made to breath live in those old forums but they never materialized. Finally, after getting fed up with the old system Roy and David Aaron purchased a new domain and installed phpBB. It took about a month before NVraves became the only local EDM community forum and with that we saw a transition to a more secure and better forum software.

As the site grew so did the desire to become more than just another forum. Several ideas were tried out but the SMF board was too limiting in what they were trying to accomplish. In late 2008 development began of a new front end designed specifically around the main goals of NVraves; To foster and build a stronger EDM community. With the launch of the new site we are taking strides towards this goal and hope that in another 4 years NVraves continues to evolve and grow.
